Designed to celebrate Villeroy & Boch’s 250th anniversary, Audun captures the provincial roots of this well-known tableware company. Named after a small village in the Lorraine province, where the first pottery was established by the Boch family, Audun captures the rustic beauty of everyday scenes of life on the farm. Based upon original copper engraved designs, this handsome collection showcases pastoral images in shades of black and white surrounded by elegant decorative elements. Intricate floral borders, geometric bands, soft maize-colored rims, and wreaths of laurel add a modern touch to each of the four related patterns–Audun Chasse, Audun Ferme, Audun Fleur, and Audun Promenade. Fashioned from vitrified porcelain, the collection can safely be placed in the dishwasher and microwave.

Von Siebenthal – Gstaad

Founded in 1872, this family business is the oldest still existing shop in Gstaad. It is now run by the fourth and fifth generation. In the fire that destroyed half the village in 1898, the house of the von Siebenthal family was completely destroyed. The existing house was re-built in 1899 and commerce started again. Since then, the ancient hardware-store has become one of the leading household and cookshops in Switzerland, its total floorspace amounting to 500m2. Today this family run business has a staff of ten and is run by Gottfried and Katharina von Siebenthal.
