Von Siebenthal – Gstaad
Founded in 1872, this family business is the oldest still existing shop in Gstaad. It is now run by the fourth and fifth generation. In the fire that destroyed half the village in 1898, the house of the von Siebenthal family was completely destroyed. The existing house was re-built in 1899 and commerce started again. Since then, the ancient hardware-store has become one of the leading household and cookshops in Switzerland, its total floorspace amounting to 500m2.
